He grabbed a pair at random, tossing them over a shoulder with the promise of taking care of those, and getting out of the now...uncomfortably crusty pair he was still wearing in a moment. The train of thought from before, though he tried to shove it away, had left a want that may as well have been a compulsion in him. Finn wrapped his arms around Poe's waist so tug him against his chest, and pressed his lips against the now deeply bruised skin of where shoulder met neck.

He wasn't afraid of Kes. That was going to be fine. But the chance that he might, however unintentionally, take the man's side over Poe's was becoming a real one. Getting the words out had been wonderful, made this all the more real in a way Finn hadn't expected. But it made just how much he had to lose all the more clear, too.
