Finn didn't have the connection to ships, to the hanger, to the past Poe did. He looked at the Interceptor and saw a neglected piece of machinery. But he looked at Poe and that was enough. He couldn't quite see it through the other man's eyes, but he could get the gist. It was indeed a beaut, because it meant something to Poe.
