You've reached Poe Dameron. I'm off flying something or trying not to get killed, so go ahead and leave a message and I'll get back to you eventually.

I initially started with one called "I, Robot." I decided to branch out from there. It only takes me an hour at most to finish a book less than 500 pages, if it's a digital file.

I am never sarcastic I don't know what you're talking about
I, Robot? That-- sounds like something right up your alley, yeah. I mean, it makes sense that you'd read I guess I just never thought about it. So what are these about
no subject
It's a collection of stories about robot sentience, from the perspective of an Earth that didn't even have robots. It's interesting, if a little unsettling in it's predictions.
Frankenstein is about a scientist attempting to create life by assembling a creature from body parts of the deceased. Gulliver's Travels is about a man who travels to different lands, and he is physically alien to the natives in terms of size and appearance. Both are metaphors about being alienated in a society for different reasons, but overall, being feared.
I thought they would be interesting to help keep your thoughts elsewhere.

[There's a pause as he reads the descriptions, and a look that is both thankful and warm spreads over his face. If tired. The tv viewing public likely have no idea what they are even seeing.]
so they're kind of about you, then

That
was not my intent with my recommendations.
I had read them because they sounded interesting.
[Interesting, to him, because they were relatable to a degree, yes. Frankenstein maybe a little more so than Gulliver, but.]
I can find others to send you instead.

No. These are good.
they'll be distracting and then you can tell me what you liked about them, later.
at the very least, it means I'll get to know you better, right?

And... yes, I suppose at the very least, you would know what kind of books I've been reading. If you have any books you like here, I would be interested in knowing which ones.
