You've reached Poe Dameron. I'm off flying something or trying not to get killed, so go ahead and leave a message and I'll get back to you eventually.

Yes, I'm fine. Was this really that worrisome?

Sorry. Not worried physically, exactly, just--
it just has this over-all feeling of you just-- going through a lot of stuff. Not sure how to explain it.
i guess all I really want to say is that this place isn't really something any of us were programmed for, for we're all adjusting. But you're the one who's probably needed to adjust the most.

You think I need to adjust the most?
[Maybe that's right. Maybe he didn't even realize that. He always thought he had a better handle on this world than Cassian did, or that maybe even Jyn and Bodhi had. He prided himself on being able to gather information and study environments so he can most suitably fit in.
But maybe he's not fitting in as well as he'd hoped, if even Poe thinks he's having problems adjusting.]

in a way, yeah
god knows i miss home
but even i can see that this place treats you differently
i've known plenty of droids in my time and even Threepio still gets automatically talked down to, despite being one of the leading forces in the Resistance
maybe it's not as big a deal as i think it would be, but it definitely sounds like a major adjustment.

I've been "free" for six years, but it's been a limited freedom. Only Cassian knew. I still sometimes think I'll be asked "what are you doing here, droid?" or "we don't accept droids here."
I haven't been asked that by anyone native here. But it's a good thing. I appreciate it.
But I don't think that's what I'm struggling with. It is less about who I am, as much as where I am, and what I am.
