One, I don't think the song is implying at all it's non-consensual.

Two, I did not pick this song because I am thinking about him, because I'm not.

Three, you are right. I am my own person, and I can make my own decisions. If I make whatever choice I do, it will be because I chose to do it and understand the consequences of it. It isn't a matter of trust versus lack of trust. It isn't a matter of picking you over him. You don't get to tell me what is or isn't worth it, or how this would affect my 'self-respect.'

Based on my knowledge and additional research on the subject, sex is a major point of vulnerability for all parties involved. That has been an obviously key factor in how it has played into spywork.

[And that's all he'll say on that particular note. Because while that is actually exactly how Cassian would use it as well- when a target is vulnerable, then they are more likely to give up information, he won't be talking about Cassian's past like that. Not even to Poe.]

Other than using it as a form of finding vulnerability, it could be used as a form of trade, which is how I am interpreting it's use now. I know you are worried about this being used against me, and that I could become the vulnerable target, but I wouldn't be. After what had happened on Halloween, I have been taking extra precautions with myself.

I acknowledge that sex can be used as a means of domination, of holding power over someone, of violation- I have seen that as well. But after analyzing the situation with Starr- which I did- weighting the phrasing of what I said versus what Starr said- which I did- and thinking about it purely in terms of a non-emotional, experimental trade for scientific reasons more than anything else, I have come to the conclusion that the chances it would be damaging to me are low enough that I could see no problem with taking the risk.

I hope you understand, Poe. This conversation isn't actually about the equipment anymore. It's about you trusting me when I say I have thought something through. Maybe there are others here who are capable of producing the same equipment Starr would. Maybe they would be much more trustworthy, and easier to contact. Logically, if they do exist, then I would go to them instead, rather than make a trade like this, because it would involve less risk. But at the same time, I don't intend on advertising my request on a public channel.

My concerns lay first and foremost with the equipment, and less so with who I'd use it with.
